Step 3: Becoming a Validator
After bootstrapping and syncing with the network, a node can choose to become a validator. Validators play an essential role in maintaining the network’s security and verifying transactions.
· Eligibility:
To become a validator, nodes typically need to meet certain staking or technical requirements as set by the Gee network. Validators are incentivized through rewards and contribute to the network’s resilience and security by participating in consensus.
· Validator Chain:
The validator chain not only tracks current validators but also helps nodes understand the network’s validation rules. As nodes join the validator set, they become part of the consensus process, helping secure the network and verify transactions.
Gee’s bootstrapping process is designed to be open, decentralized, and secure. By enabling nodes to connect freely, retrieve the latest network state, and potentially join as validators, Gee fosters a resilient and flexible ecosystem that encourages broad participation. This process allows Gee to scale without relying on a privileged set of nodes, promoting inclusivity and decentralization in its network architecture.
