Types of VMs in the Gee Primary Network
Validators on the Gee Primary Network must run three essential VMs, each corresponding to a core function within the ecosystem:
1. Coreth (C-Chain)
· Coreth is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) implementation for Gee’s Contract Chain (C-Chain).
· Supports Solidity-based smart contracts, enabling developers to deploy Ethereum-compatible applications seamlessly.
2. Platform VM (P-Chain)
· This VM manages the Platform Chain, which oversees staking and node management on Gee L1.
· Supports operations such as validator coordination and network governance, crucial for maintaining Gee’s decentralized infrastructure.
3. Gee VM (R-Chain)
· The R-Chain VM is dedicated to the management of native digital assets on Gee, including transactions with Gee Native Tokens.
· Supports asset issuance, trading, and tokenized asset management.
All three VMs can operate on standard hardware using Gee’s setup, known as GeeGo. Additionally, validators can install extra VMs to support other Gee L1 networks and earn rewards through staking.
